EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF THE EUCHARIST

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist priests with the distribution of Holy Communion at Mass and to the sick and homebound in their places of residence. Whether at Mass or in other special situations, the minister enables the recipient to share more deeply in the Body of Christ and experience the great love of the Triune God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

This ministry is open to adults who meet the requirements of the parish and the Archdiocese of Newark and receive the applicable training.  Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist are needed for all the Sundays and other special liturgies during the year.  Schedules are arranged with the Ministry leaders.

Ministers of Hospitality:

Ushers and Greeters

Ushers and Greeters assist in a variety of ways at Mass and other liturgies and special events in the church.  Ministers of Hospitality truly present the face of the parish to the many who come to worship as part of our faith community.

During our liturgies, these ministers are responsible for greeting and welcoming, helping those with special needs, gathering the assembly donations, selecting those to present the assembly gifts, assisting at Holy Communion, distributing programs and bulletins, and providing other assistance and/or information where needed.

Volunteers are encouraged to consider serving during the weekly Mass that you regularly attend.  Schedules can be established in cooperation with the ministry volunteer, hopefully with some degree of regularity.

Every weekend, we need people to serve as extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist.
