"Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments." (CCC no. 1213)
"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit..." (Matthew 28:19)
The newly baptized person becomes a "new creation," a "child of God," and a member of the Body of Christ, the Church. The parish family of Immaculate Conception Church welcomes these children with great joy.
