Holy Orders

The Lord is continuously calling men to be shepherds of the people.

However, all of us must do our part to foster a vocation to the priesthood.

We need to pray for and encourage the young men we know to consider if God is calling him to the priesthood.

Vocations

Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time, ordaining bishops, priests, and deacons with an indelible spiritual character to exercise sacred power in service to the People of God.

Lord of the Harvest,

BLESS young people with the gift of courage to respond to your call. Open their hearts to great ideals.

INSPIRE all of your disciples to mutual love and giving —
for vocation blossom in the good soil of faithful people

INSTILL in each of us the confidence and grace to invite others to embrace the noble path of life consecrated to you.

UNITE us through Jesus, so that we may cooperate with you in building your reign of mercy.
