Holy Orders
Holy Orders is the sacrament through which Christ’s apostolic mission continues in the Church until the end of time, and it includes three degrees: the episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate.
Those ordained are consecrated to feed the Church by the word and grace of God, so that Christ may shepherd his people through his ministers.
The Lord is continuously calling men to be shepherds of the people.
However, all of us must do our part to foster a vocation to the priesthood.
We need to pray for and encourage the young men we know to consider if God is calling him to the priesthood.
Discerning Vocations
Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time, ordaining bishops, priests, and deacons with an indelible spiritual character to exercise sacred power in service to the People of God.
