Receiving the Sacrament of
Holy Matrimony
Matrimony signifies the union of Christ and the Church, and it gives spouses the grace to love each other with Christ’s own love, perfecting human love and strengthening the indissoluble unity of marriage.
The sacrament enables spouses to represent God’s fidelity to his covenant, and it gives the indissolubility of marriage a new and deeper meaning.
