ABOUT IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH
OUR MISSION
We, the people of Immaculate Conception Church in the Archdiocese of Newark, are called through Baptism to celebrate the presence of Christ in Word and Sacrament.
We are called and sent by Christ to live gratefully the life God has given us and to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ as disciples in Mission. In the spirit of faith, service, and community, we strive to bring people closer together and closer to God.
OUR HISTORY
Located in the mountainous northwest corner of New Jersey’s Bergen County, Immaculate Conception is the most rural of all the parishes in the Newark Archdiocese.
Founded in 1928 by His Excellency, the Most Reverend Thomas J. Walsh, D.D., J.U.D. as the 5th Bishop of the Diocese of Newark. 93 years later we continue his desired with to have the priests there to take care of the regional Catholics.
